#eurobluesinvasion

This past week I’ve been recovering from helping co-organise the inaugral European Blues Invasion with Justin Riley (a blues teacher from Portland, Oregon US) and Gaia Hanan, a swing dancer and promoter based in London. Along with an amazing group of people WE MADE IT HAPPEN. It was difficult, trying, exhausting, painful and brilliant. It was awesome. It made me happy. It felt at times like having an out of body experience, it was so intense…

My highlights are numerous and too many to mention here, but one that I can boast about is that I made it through a field of nearly 30 to final in the Jack and Jill. I MADE IT TO THE FINAL. And I represented. I threw it down, and in the words of Jae - I SHOOK THAT TUCKUS.

There are 5 parts to the Jack and Jill Videos on YouTube (thanks to Minh Hai Tran) so if you want to see how Europe are upping their Blues game, check it out.

A huge thanks to Fluff Saunders, Craig Thomson, Fabian Vrillion and Adin Van Duyunne who were my partners in the Jack and Jill at EBI 2012, and who genuinely gave me the best dances of my life.
